Hi

What is the best way to construct a link on your site so someone who clicks that link can send you a Bitcoin Payment?

Thank you..

They will need to be running a bitcoin client to send money. As far as I know there isn't a way to link to a bitcoin transaction like you can use a "mailto:" link to send an email. Just include your bitcoin address, or if you are planning to take multiple payments, generate a unique address for each payment to keep track of the payments.

That works if you don't mind everyone knowing how much BTC is going to your address.  Otherwise, you have to generate a new address for each transfer and pass it privately.

Here's two different ways I set up

This links to my shortened bitcoin addy.

This links to my mybitcoin payment.  Redirect on payment or cancel is set to goto a btc penny/cent dish I setup, it also has a banner add so I get a little money when people click cancel or buy.
