I creat a new bitcoin address and i find that i can't received from other people.

i have got free bitcoins from 3 different websites and ask a friend to give me some bitcoins.

But I have not received any information on my client .

Is this normal?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

had you downloaded the whole blockchain yet?
the number in the bottom should say something around 125320.
if you haven't you client is likely not to have seen the transactions to your address yet.

just wait...

You can try finding your address at blockexplorer and see if the transactions show up there.

If your client is behind on the block chain you can paste your
receiving address into http://blockexplorer.com/ and see any transactions made to it.
