Chiliphone.com and it's program are being put up for sale by the owner. It is a great program that works but just did not have the advertising or reach that other bitcoin related sites have. Please message me if you would like to talk to the developer about buying this, it would go well attached to a current btc related site or just as is with more advertising.

What's so good about this?With
Chiliphone you can call anyone in the world, with bitcoin. You do not have to pay any monthly fee and the calls are untraceable. No IP or anything is logged during your call, this is great for private calls that you do not want logged by the Government or anything. It's like one of those reusable phones you can get in the gas station but you only have to pay for the call and it can be reused without being tracked. Not to mention it can be worked straight from your Browser!
How does it work?In order to use this service, you need some Bitcoin.
After this it is really simple! Just enter the phone number you want to call, and a QR code will appear. Next to this QR code you can see the cost per minute to call this particular phone number, as well as your balance. Send some bitcoin to the QR code and the balance will top up. This will typically take 10 seconds or less. After this, just click the call button.
You will need a headset, or a microphone and speaker connected to you computer. Also, you will need to tell your browser that
Chiliphone is allowed to use your microphone. The browser will ask you a question about this when you click the call button, and it looks slightly different depending on the browser. In Chrome, there will be a bar in the top of you browser saying "chiliphone.com wants to use your microphone". Just click "Allow". In Firefox, there will be a popup on the left side in your browser that lets you select which device to use. Click "Share Selected Device".
How much does each call cost?The cost for each phone call depends on where you are calling. Note that it only depends on where you are calling to, it doesn't matter where you are calling from.
The specific cost depends on the country and the phone company in charge of the number you are calling and various price structures that phone companies likes to set. Because of this we have chosen not to include a table to show different rates, instead just type a number and the rate for that particular number will be shown.
