With all these scams as of late, I was just wondering whats the most people have lost in one single coin (whether that's due to scamming or not)?

0.2 BTC in Mazacoin. I'll live.

I was away when the real plummet happened. It would've been fun to watch.

I've always turned profit by selling alts fast without ever buying them, just lately there isn't anything worth to mine ;(
It's a hot potato game. it's ridiculous to invest amounts you can't afford to lose, it's just a playground, don't take it seriously.

You must have paid for electricity and equipment to mine them though. That's similar to buying them, but it's nice to hear you turned a profit.

the ones that lost the most aren't here anymore ...

remember syscoin ipo?
Auroracoin?
... and many others ...

ethereum will create some of the biggest losses i believe.

people have lost hundreds of millions if not billions in altcoins (and in bitcoin too)

None due to scams or security issues. However, since coins dropped a lot, it's quite a lot, although I would never realize any loss by selling low.

You're a little late asking this since Gox. Most of the people that lost a lot are gone. But due to security issues I lost about 200 BTC.

Mostly key management, but I'm at a loss for much of it. I brought these issues to the attention of the devs and they added safeguards for future loss prevention. That's why I'm still helping fight FUD and not divested.

I lost 10+ Btc in COIN2 but no worries because that loss never make me hard feelings, I got 30+ btc from same coin and lost 10 at the last moment when it crashed again and again.

I never fiddled much with anything other than Bitcoin. I lost a bunch because I started a brainwallet type trivia game and imported one of the private keys into a hotwallet. Another was an issue with how I used BIP38. Others were related to backups and possibly a stolen laptop. What I have left is hopefully well secured.

Loss is such a tought teacher. I've started being paranoid since the day I risked to lose 1000DRK for security issues.
