#RootCoin v2.0 changelog:
gui-tweaks and extension of functionality  (TBA)
#RootCoin v3.0 changelog: integrated stealth functionality
of tx-fee.
more information to be released soon.

I am announcing my cryptocurrency project named "RootCoin" [ROOT]. This is just an (my) economic/technical project/experiment.
Please inform yourself about cryptocurrencies and their risks before making any investment (money, time, hashingpower,..).
All sales are final!

RootCoin is in final development stage. This is my first own cryptocurrency-project and
i am going to do this as a fulltimeproject by myself. I ve been involved in a couple of altcoins and
also did/am doing a lot of contract based work within the cryptocommunity.

IRC: #rootcoin

Specifications:
algorithm: scrypt (community voting)
blockreward: 99 ROOT
total coins: 1.9 million coins
blocktime: 5 minutes
PoS reward: 3%
rpcport: 27377
p2pport:28388
qrcode support
POW-CUTOFF: block 3700

economical feature: BurnPool™
BurnPool™ will be a new kind of multipool. Users will be able to choose between two mining-options.
First option will be payout in RootCoins. Second and NEW option will be to multimine RootCoins
which get "burned" automatically by transferring them to an "proofen unspendable" public-key.
So with this step coins get burned, the coincap minimized and the value higher.

BOUNTIES:
TBA

future plans:
TBA - stay tuned

This account will be shared between the Rootcoin devs. Please refrain from trolling, fudding, etc. Please make constructive criticisms.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

The codebase will be now extended on a file by file base.
you re now seeing the raw ssl-client-server base with
the rpc-binding for the root-wallet. the bitkey-parser as well as the network-header was removed from
the sources due to instability.
we also haven't included any makefile which needs root under certain circumstances. so this will be extended during the next weeks. my planned commits include my ssl framework which acts as server/client(user input) and is able to access the root-instance (wallet or deamon)  with the help of librootcoin and also able to parse encrypted commands with bitkey. The second part is the bitkey framework which was ported from java to C/CPP during the last weeks/months and is still being ported. This decision (porting) was made during java runtime conflicts. We also decided to make the project fully open-source. BitKey itself acts as an tx-engine which parses incoming p2p requests from the ssl framework and handles encrypted ROOTs ("bitkey-balance" = cold storage). The next part is the network header which is not included in the betarelease as it s still too unstable. So an testrun would be: Starting up the bitkeyinstance, initializing the bitkey balance by linking the encrypted keys to the ssl-framework and transferring them between your bitkey-instances (different computers, networks, etc.) bitkey actually implements the tcp-protocol. we ve started to test a udp-setup which i might also publish. more things (new android app and GUI_prot) will be released soon.

Be sure: WE ARE HERE AND NOT GOING ANYWHERE. ROOT is one of the few coins which will also exsist in 5 or 10 years.
If you re interested in ROOT as a longterm project and want to support us please drop me a message with your e-mail address and i ll invite you to our dev-talk.

Bitkey™ - anon system [95% progress]
rootEX™ - cryptocurrency exchange [95% progress]
rootBay™ - marketplace  [85% progress]
rootOS™ - CryptOSystem  [85% progress]
rootburnpool™ - Multipool [85% progress]

comparing to the old thread :

rootEX™ - cryptocurrency exchange [95% progress]
rootBay™ - marketplace  [85% progress]
rootOS™ - CryptOSystem  [75% progress]

I have few questions...what about rootEX? Development is going on or it has stopped due to BitKey's development?

Happy new year, folks - been out and now back. What's new? Censorship, eh?

Anyone planning to create an uncensored unofficial thread as an alternative to bitsa's (aka collegestudent's)?

Dude relax, noone works in FUD. Bitcoin was meant to be a community to bring people together. Work together and support or sell out. Simple. But please stop talking and investment only what you can afford to lose.

Sorry but you SHOULD list that the online web wallet is copy paste of the NEOS coin wallet, credits go to NEOSCOIN dev, not your magical team which change the menus from horizontal to vertical + new theme.....

1st of all: ROOT doesn't have an online web wallet. IF YOU NEED ONE: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/API_reference_%28JSON-RPC%29#PHP   --> some lines of php and a fancy css will do the job.... no need to c/p.

2nd: The ROOTCOIN wallet is a fork from the original bitcoin-qt and extended with a REAL blockexplorer and not a blockcrawler like most of other wallets.

RootEX plans to be an entirely new exchange with the latest capabilities on par with more capable exchanges such as Cryptsy, Polo, Bter and Bittrex. There was no mention of a web wallet. And thank you for ur concerns, glad to help Smiley

So DEV you only have around 8 posts. How long will it be before you stop responding, close shop and flee with whatever little money you made? You know as well as I ROOTCoin isn't going to develop into anything...

This coin is well over 5 months old and this is a new thread from an old thread. This was to ensure cleaning and that this account be shared with all devs.
