Hello,
I'm using paper wallets a long time now. But my question now is:
Does anyone have an idea how I can store my paper wallet secure?
Which paper is the best that the wallet data will not fade?
Thanks in advance!

Why not seal it into foil that's transparent? Should protect against moisture and fading.

i don't think paper will not make any difference, any normal printer paper will do. it depends more on the printer that you are using. keep the printed paper in a safe place that you keep your documents. and besides you can cover the paper with plastic which is called lamination.that way it will last forever.

Would using a laserprinter be better than an inkjet printer? Ink can smudge, laser too but less right?

What about engraving the Public & Private Key into wood or a plate of iron / aluminium?

Yea like the good old days where broken sticks represented net worth of entire countries Seriously But the problem is, that I don't want to give the private key to a company which is engraving materials and buying a laser cutter or something else is too expensive for this purpose...

Thanks for the sites! My fear is just that the private key doesn't work anymore after encrypting it (or I lose the password for the BIP encryption).

Thanks for the sites! My fear is just that the private key doesn't work anymore after encrypting it (or I lose the password for the BIP encryption). It shouldn't be possible that it won't work since private key won't change. You still have the original unencrypted private key in your computer if you generated it there though. Either recite the password a few times during the day or write down the password and store them in a few secure places.

Just to notice, you can get one for like 10-20 (max 30) euros and we are talking about the best price/quality options!

For sure: The main problem is that plastic isn't the most stable commodity. Ultraviolet light and ozone can have a negative impact on it...but as I said it's an interesting approach

Make sure it's quality paper and ink, and laminate it. You do not want it to become worn out. Also, I have once bought a simple fire proof briefcase safe from a bankrupt auction from a company for $20,- (since the current economy there are plenty of these auctions), that is where is store paper. So laminate etc. to keep the quality and the safe + fire proof incase of emergency.
If you have a safe place, store it in a second location and you're as safe as I can think of.

Carve it into stone. If people do it since the paleolitic, you can do it yourself. Preference to places where no one would think something valuable would be stored, but with no ristk of the carvings being eliminated in some way
