1 USD a day
Give a man a fish and he can eat for a day ... So, that's near the gross revenue. What you'ld also want to factor in is the cost of the electricity. The card itself, not including the rest of the rig,, consumes, oh 160W. Using national residential average (U.S.) power cost of $0.15 per kWh, you'll see about 0.17 BTC earned (worth $1.15 USD at the current exchange rate) and pay 0.9 BTC ($0.58) of that in electricity. - http://tpbitcalc.appspot.com/Of course, your electric consumption includes power supply, mobo, display, etc., You'll want to carefully consider your cost of electricity as this configuration could easily be mining at a loss (or at best a miniscule profit).

some days I get .001 btc and others 10 btc
through referral links and small no brainer currency trades (find a low and high market, buy from the low one transfer and sell high). I know someone has made a bot for this. But am surprised by the differences still out there, I should try to make my own.

I switched my 6990`s off due to power consumption and switched to FPGA mining. HW from different vendors currently 3,8 GHps at approx 240 W That equals around 2 BTC per day BTW: what is your opinion on deepbit ? I choose that pool, just because it was the biggest but if someone has better experiences, just let me know

why is that ? can u elaborate a little bit further ? Fees to high ? Algorithms not state-of-the-art ? I understand, that they use the same PPS payment method like others do. What do u use instead, if I may ask that question?

before the BFL ASIC announcement, I would have said yes, it pays off, now I would be a lot more careful. Only time can tell how BFL will really perform with the new gear. If it turns out to be real, then all FPGA will be obsolete (for mining, they still hold a certain value of course). I personally changed my strategy and pre-ordered the BFL ASIC`s with half of the planned invest for the next months. The other half still goes into FPGA, but this is high risk. Maybe BFL is high risk as well. This announcement is game-changing and there is probably not a "one-and-only-fits-all strategy" But the primary focus is probably not to make dollars out of the project but support the whole idea in some way. In the secondary focus, of course we all want to prosper ....

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system. - GA
