Depends on the reason for it failing:
- One way mathematical functions used by Bitcoin failing: Find another function that is safe (if there is any left)
- Some implementation-flaw: Hard-fork Bitcoin with a fixed codebase.
- People losing interest in Bitcoin/cryptocurrencies and they lose traction: Well, they will most likely fade into obscurity, that's the way things go...

Plan B would be another coin. Someone will just go ahead and create the next version of it. Everyone can try to create the next Bitcoin. Maybe even make a better code or reward system. This is what altcoins are already doing today. We've got PLan A-Z already, if you think about it!

Bitcoin should not be your plan A IMO but a plan B to Bitcoin if it crashes ... maybe selling Bitcoin fail tshirts?

Investments in general should be a side venture, imo. It's not reliable; there's a much greater element of risk involved in comparison to a job that pays USD/whatever currency you use. If the stock value crashes, people that invested their life savings will be losing a lot more than just their money. lol@suggestion of selling BitCoin Fail shirts though

For the people that invested early on, they can still profit. For those who bought it recently, well...gotta just hope that the value will indeed skyrocket, right?

I don't have plan B because bitcoin never fails
I just prepare way to cover my loss if bitcoin price break down

That in itself is a contingency plan
