According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I'm looking for someone in Australia who I can buy Bitcoins from via bank deposit. PM me if you can help out, I'm looking to get these purchased by the end of the week.

Bank transfer or cash deposit?

I can do via bank transfer (but not cash deposit).

If interested send me your offer proposal (fixed sum xxx AUD to yyy BTC, no offers relative to "other markets" please).

Transfers sent before 16:00 local time of your bank are likely to reach me next day (the earlier sent the more likely).

/query miernik on #bitcoin-otc IRC channel if you want.
