He probably means that it's known they accept bitcoin.

The only online casino on which i won something. I made 17mBTC from 1mBTC in like 15 minutes.  This is not paid AD!

I guess it's like the dark web, bitcoin being involved in anyhing a bit sus always give the government a good reason to throw some more regulations at it.

If anything it does serve as a New Year Reminder that internet privacy is due to people like Snowden keeping vigilance on it

I wonder how much snowden has personally in bitcoins? I guess they US will have likely frozen or at least are tracking his bank accounts so bitcoins could help him in that way.

At that time, BTC was young and vulnerable and Wikileaks was controversial. Time is different now.
