Original Paycoin
Before we chose the name "Paycoin," we did our due diligence.

While we found one coin with the same name, we did not find any activity, (sites, forums, etc...)

We also reached out to the original developer with no response.

After a long period of waiting, we assumed that the coin had been abandoned and moved forward with purchasing all the name's rights.

Once we launched Paycoin, some of the original coin holders came forward to express their frustration with our decision. Since then, we have been working with them to find a solution.

While we could have moved forward anyway, we thought it was best to build good will and work with them.

I am happy to say we have reached an agreement with them and have their blessing to use the name.

Thanks!

For some reason I do not believe him, Vlad2Vlad would be able to answer this much better than me.

Nope, nope, nope.

He's probably lying. He can't reach every single PYC holder for their consent about the name rights etc.

Also If he can arrange with people for the name rights, Why did he steal the logo? Grin

What I do know for fact is about 12 mths ago a well known dev was in the process of taking over & resurrecting the coin and the original dev stepped in & put a stop to it.

It wouldnt surprise me if Homero has paid the original dev a relatively trivial amount of money to acquire 'rights' to it.

If you like my post please feel free to give me some positive rep https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=18639

I tried to reach any dev/person posting in the name of the coin, but got no response at all, not sure if he got a better luck or if he just simply said:
i'm going to take your coin and if you don't respond I'll assume consent and keep it as mine
