So after several suggestions by VicVelcro to start our own thread for people wanting to speak freely, I decided to start this thread for the community to do just that. I will only have a few rules for this thread and they are as follows...

1) Absolutely NO FUD will be tolerated. I didn't start this as a place for trolls to run rampant.

2) Do not use this thread as a means to generate a pump and dump of LitecoinDark. This coin has enough struggles on it's own without further price manipulation.

That's it! Keep to the rules and you will be free to voice your opinions. Enjoy  Smiley

intresting.....

Well I just find it concerning that the new "dev" has not given any updates on the new wallet that was paid for quite some time ago, the last official update was on November 28, he claims there are no community funds (after confirming every donation sent in from the community), and he flat out told me that he is under no obligation to provide any updates to the community. I personally believe that if you decide to publicly take over a coin which many people have invested their hard earned BTC in, you are under EVERY obligation to provide a legitimate update when asked opposed to being "cute" by referencing lyrics from a Christmas song.

So while I agree with some of your points, I have plenty that I'll leave to question. That said, have a clue on any updates? I am being asked questions about coin updates and I am at a loss for words with this coin. The main thread has been locked and I cannot get any answers via normal routes. Any info would be greatly helpful. Thanks in advance!

P.S. It seems VERY unprofessional from an exchange standpoint to lock a thread and refuse comments and/or questions regardless of a holiday or not. Exchanges operate 24/7 365.25 days of the year and do not take breaks. This is a huge publicity fail on the new dev's part. Some sort of information needs to be released before more exchanges de-list this coin as Coin-Swap has. This could either turn out to be a great future for this coin, or a catastrophic demise.

Well I can honestly say this was posted by the new "dev" and is a direct copy & paste quote:

"It's not my job to give you any progress reports. I don't spend any community funds because there are none. I spend my own money on development and I decide the terms and the deadlines for any work that I personally do or which I delegate out.

You will not push me around or intimidate me into doing anything.

My job as a DEV is whatever I decide it to be, not what you crybaby about."

I simply pointed out to him he IS responsible for giving the community updates since he decided to take the coin over. He is obviously on some sort of power trip. Locked the topic after I tried to call him out so many times, deleted and dismissed all of my concerns, I have plenty of PM p-roof that this guy is abusing his power that I am happy to post if anyone requests... This is just getting ridiculous. We need answers as a community and he instead locks the topic. Makes perfect sense if you ask me, right?? LOL

If what you are posting regarding the new dev are correct and true there are definitely some areas of concern, especially when it comes to his lack of updating the public. Actually, that is very concerning. The boys at my exchange may follow suit with Coin-Swap if that's how this will continue to go. But for now, let's see if we can find any way to get in touch with this new developer and see where we get. If he has a proven track record we can instill some confidence in this new venture. As an exchange operator, we must do our own research to determine if hosting this coin will be in our best interest. I'll post updates as we come to a conclusion to our findings.

I did receive a small update from vicvelcro for anyone interested:

Possibly yes.

I'm still waiting for TrollByFire to send me some code he said he would provide. Without that code, the only thing to do is rewrite it all from scratch - which will take a significant amount of time. Either way it ends up going, there's nothing to discuss currently.

I got a bad vibe from the new dev from day one.  Dude is on a SERIOUS power trip and imo with him at the helm ltcd will go NOWHERE but down.  As far as fud goes, no one can hurt the coin as much as the "dev" has by closing the thread without a word.

So who else is becoming worried that the POW stage will finish before the new wallet comes out? This coin will grind to a halt if that happens.

Well there are currently 78,893,849 coins according to http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/litecoindark/ out of a total of 82,003,200 total coins for POW mining. Getting close  Undecided

takeover seems the only solution

reality ? you fell to Scammers after being in an ICO , IPO
(more like any other stock and index in the world ICO or not got your portfolio down 25 % or 85 %)
Now  SEC is helping you getting back up your lost money maybe....

Could be a good idea. Anyone could fork from the last release, and if the community got behind it we could all follow the new fork. Sounds like a good idea to discuss. I can't believe that it has been over a month with no updates and then yesterday all we got was https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=876509.msg10295538#msg10295538  Roll Eyes

Can't just let this coin die.  and honestly, new dev team hasn't done much imo.  takeover might be the best course.

Well if we can get enough of the other adopters of this coin together, I can search out a dev to help us in this venture. We would need a majority support to pull it off, causing a fork and all takes the community support. I'm sure we could do it with everyone watching their funds go down the drain. Say the word and we can make this happen sooner than any "official" response as we are waiting for now.

I have created a freenode irc channel to make these discussions a little easier. Please go to your irc client and /join #LTCD-takeover or use the following link: http://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.kiwiirc.com/#LTCD-takeover. The more support we get, the easier this will be!!  Wink
