That's the last thing to be done with any new wallet releases but hey there is always someone who wants to get rich quick.

I truly believe he makes more money off infected links in legitimate coin threads. I've noticed he is frequently monitoring new wallet releases and updates. He then uses one of multiple accounts to promote the new wallet as being amazing.
Then cons people into downloading the wallet link he quotes from op, except he changes out the original link for his infected version. He got  200k xqn from the latest wallet release a few days ago.. Which currently is worth 3btc-4btc.

So he is doing alright for himself with his gimmicks. I'm just waiting for him to brag about it to the wrong person and we get to know him a little better with the help of his coordinates. I'll personally pay 1btc for this loser to be outed by one of his "friends".

Anyone care to add to that bounty?

This guy owes me 30btc from this summer, got me after a 3 day mining binge and caught me with my pants down.

I couldn't make out the 111kb of wholesome goodness, that unleashed a shitstorm on my laptop, which I never keep coins on longer than 24hrs.

Truthfully, never been hacked or had anything stolen digitally before.. It's a hell of a wake up call after thinking I was safe due to the amount of time I put into crypto.

It's come to the point where it's hurting the community as a whole. We need to be much more proactive in spreading awareness.

I agree, the mods should post a thread with guidelines to follow to minimize risk of infecting yourself. Never feels good being a victim to some guy who's probably half way across the world buying god knows what with money you worked hard to acquire.

It's personally got me skittish of any wallets I add to my PC which is designated solely as storage for my most valuable holdings.
