Ive been keeping my eye on http://bitcoinwatch.com/, and have been noticing big spikes in the "other" section of hashrate distribution. I took both of these screenshots in the span of a few minutes.

I noticed that slush dissapears in the second image, maybe its a bug in the graph

Not a bug, seems slush is down currently.
Just for a moment, and now he is back up.  I watched the whole event happen.  I saw my rig go down, checked the board and he had an announce for a temporary downtime.  Then less then 10 mins later he was back up.
