Yeah I would second that. You could trade your card for anything and offer it for trade or exchange for BTC as well.
In the past I have bought and sold pokerstars fund, and thats a great altternative for people in UK .

I can post the card to your address. Then you have to register and activate it. (online)
You can order USD and EUR cards which are linked to the GBP account.
