Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

This is a significant first step.

Has anyone listened to earnings calls to know whether they are holding any Bitcoin on their corporate ledger?

That would also be a big step.

Last I saw was a quote from Overstock CEO stating that they currently don't hold any of the bitcoins, but they plan to in the future as their suppliers start accepting coins for payments.

Great news.
Previously, there was some news about employees in overstock being given an option to be paid their bonuses in BTC.

Coulda swore there was some list posted recently about all the companies that take Bitcoin and it was reported that O-stock keeps about 10% of their bitcoin related revenues in bitcoin. I'm pretty sure about that.

This is great news, probably one of the main key areas of development which is needed right now is more people getting paid in BTC.
