Bitstamp processed my withdrawal within 5 minutes!

Looks like that they put in new 18000 BTC to their exchange to cover the loss.

Check their address: https://blockchain.info/address/36mwH1Jg3AMVsEQqVaDSe9YFBTGebaHR1A

I also requested fiat withdraw. If all go smoothly, I will come back and trade in Bitstamp again!!!

Their operations should resume normally; most people will try to withdraw just in case but if there are no other problems, they will recover from it.

That being said, The last fiat deposit I sent on Monday was not credited yet.

You sent a fiat deposit on the day they got hacked? They've probably been too busy to deal with it. It will probably show up soon.

I sent a deposit just before they got hacked, good timing I guess Grin

They sent me a support message 15 minutes ago that was not meant to me or was irrelevant since I didn't send them any support message since January 1st.

I did a small test withdrawal that went through quite quickly. I can't say exactly how quickly because I had to reset my multibit wallet to see it.

This is good news, if people receive all their money back, they will definitely gain some of the trust back from their investors.

My deposit was credited and I received a support message, they seem to be back in business and their finances are hopefully sound.

It is good news that Bitstamp recover the operation again, but they still need to do audit again to show they have 100% reserve for the users' fund. It is very likely a mtgox 2.0 if they cannot provide enough evidence they have equity to cover the loss.

The Bitcoin they have, it is not the Bitstamp's asset. The funds belongs to their clients.

There will be massive withdrawals (price is going down already). You have to be crazy to keep your funds in Bistamp at least for a while(2-3 months). Why? I am pretty sure they did not fix any bug. They just changed the servers. Smiley

It is impossible(and this can be certified by any programmer) to identify a hack in a financial platform in 3-4 days, to fix it and then to setup a new server and so on..

Please let us know when/if your withdrawal comes through. And how long you had to wait before it hit the blockchain.
