Are people still doing this? I have never done anything like this but obviously something for almost free sounds tempting as hell.  I seriously need an item but am fairly broke after the holidays, just wondering if this still works?

I'm almost certain he is talking about some kind of fraudulent scheme to get items sent out from Amazon for little cost to him.

If you're broke then you can't afford it and you should be looking to earn the money legitimately if you want something. Would you go into a store and just steal something because this is still theft.

Ask your parents for more money then. Committing fraud against a business is immoral and against the law.

Oh, it's not just normal fraud either. It's mail fraud which is a felony. The USPIS doesn't fuck around either. They're more scary than the FBI.

Even if you wanted to do this, I am pretty sure they have cracked down on it. It is not worth going to prison over 500 bucks.

Go to a 7-11, stab an elderly woman and take her credit card from her purse.  Order whatever you want - it's not your money.

Not quite the same, but I see what you did there. Smiley

Surely there are certain items you can order that for safety reasons, cannot be sent back. Food, household items for instance. But it doesn't seem worth jeopardizing your account, ending up on some shitlist. I order a lot through Amazon, and I appreciate being able to do no-hassle returns/refunds when warranted, but I don't push my luck.

Better to stick with legit ways of making money. Amazon has great service, and it isn't right to try to take advantage of them. Not sure what you are trying to get at with a refund, but it probably won't work out how you planned.

Companies take tons of money they don't need from us, why not take some from them. That's the wrong way of thinking, and it's morally wrong, but if you need a quick buck it might as well be considered a last resort.
