Is there any way for a user to tell who is ignoring them? I mean, besides the fact nobody has anything to say to my comments, that is.
I'm used to being ignored IRL, but IRL it is quite clear when it happens.

I'm not sure if I can tell if I'm not welcome or not in here.

I don't know if such a button exist; however, IMHO you should care less if you're "welcome or not in here" and just live your own life here continuing to contribute in a constructive way to community.

There isn't a way to know it now, but I remeber earlier, your Ignore button would have a background glow when enough people would ignore you.

There used to be a listing of some kind I remember that showed percentage but I don't think that's around anymore, as others have already said, the amount of colour on the ignore function is a good indicator, so someone with dark orange is usually not someone you want to talk to very much if they've managed to piss off that many people.

It shouldn't matter who ignored you. You can't change you and you don't have to be different just because some people ignore you

But that applies to Me seeing if They are ignored by others. I am inquiring if there is a way for Me to see if They are not interested in hearing from Me.
Fair enough if someone don't like me and wishes to mute my comments, I'm not mad. I'd just like to know they aren't listening so that I can do us all a favor and move the convo elsewhere.
Hmmm. I could see that creating resentments though...

However, I do believe that knowing where and when you are wanted or welcome is a solid foundation for good manners and etiquette

I never heard about it. I mean you can ignore others but they won't know if you are ignoring them. There is not such functionality implemented here on this forum or on some other forums as far as I know. But cases when someone is ignoring you are quite rare, so I would not worry if I were you.

I wouldn't let it bother you. People who go around ignoring masses of users are usually the ones with little to say or a poor ability to handle others opinions or arguments different or stronger than theirs.

There isn't a way to know it now, but I remeber earlier, your Ignore button would have a background glow when enough people would ignore you.

Yeah, but that was removed.

Usually they publicly tell you about how they've ignored you because they like the little power they have been given and it's one of the only ways left they think they can try get a 1-up on you. It's not really a good idea to have people's lists publicly displayed because as you mention it will only lead to resentment and disagreements.

Yes you can, blocking someone's pms is different from ignoring you. I have people blocked I haven't ignored. I don't have a problem with their posts, they just can't take no for an answer is all.

That's right. Whoops. Thought he may of been talking about people ignoring him on pms and not the general ignore button.
