I want to first point out that anyone who invests in something that is advertised as a "HYIP" is basically asking to have their money taken from them.

I also generally do not have a problem with HYIP/ponzi's as long as they are honest with what they do/what will ultimately happen.

The user: Plutonium is the OP behind the bitcoin-stocks.com thread in the gambling section. Users michaeladair, moreia and TheGambler also appear to be promoting the HYIP however it is not as clear they are actively behind the HYIP, I feel they are however.

According to what Plutonium has posted about it's HYIP program it actively invests it's money in actual "revenue sources". See below quote snip:
--snip--
We offer sustainable, transparent and realistic plans that our investors can rely on!
--snip--

How does Bitcoin-Stocks Operate?

2. When coins are received, within 24 hours they are moved from the investment plan wallet to our main wallet (1Bmain1SWHZtauy94J7dBGKGdLxTeLbzmY) where all future transactions are conducted. This is where the action begins...Your coins are moved to all of our revenue sources and in the meantime, produce your interest and increased revenue for the site.
3. Once the revenue for your plan is successfully achieved, it is then sent back to the main wallet and a portion is moved to the Repayment Address (1RepayLCGmGM4nGqMXhYb31qzTkjiaYoz) where coins are then repayed to the address that you invested with.
[-snip]
This however is clearly not true. I tried quizzing them on this last night and was only met with what I feel are clearly lies.

I received an anon tip off with information that the public addresses for this HYIP are directly connected to bitdice.me, since I cannot release the identity of the tipper I looked into what he provided me and I would agree with his conclusion. After I decided it was fruitless to continue to be met with lies from him, I decided to simply post the evidence and my commentary in their self moderated thread. It was deleted (big surprise). Below is what I wrote.

Quote
1Bmain7rrswU8tpJZ2qN6VqDbgaPve7vCf ( his main address )

routed to

1A5i4foDB8GfPCTmZvZ9jRka3yi7FM2svr ( probably another web wallet / mixer service ) ... i doubt its a mixer though

routed to

19yR1HxBNy5As4joecih4wgj8Cpe5SdmWk ( this address belongs to bitdice.me )

so as you can see there's no so call liquidation , or hedge funds, forex , etc.. Hope you will let the public know and also i wish to remain anonymous with this tip off.

I did some digging   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=476998.0   here, the same wallet

2nd address mite be a mixing service, like what JD was doing last time. They used to mix coins.

But still this proofs to show that no coins are going in to so called investments  (unless you call investing in a casino a legit investment)
Addresses one and two are linked via several transactions including the below ones 969364bbca7bb7c47b3cf23cf60b131e8f078d602afc5e4e024141dde695dedc
031bcb379ade1b9c3dcb1bebc85273018d8bdedef51aa3442516c1a77c3370b1
9ba2c6fb80a160b95b3193a687edb67e673b05591ac56818e5f7045aef88c576
969364bbca7bb7c47b3cf23cf60b131e8f078d602afc5e4e024141dde695dedc

Address two and three are linked together by several transactions including one where 150 BTC was sent to bit dice cold wallet (most of the inputs were from other addresses). However it is very unlikely that anyone would want/need to send bitcoin directly to their cold wallet so it is more likely that address 2 also belongs to bit dice
58ff79bc9ded6c8d00bcdc3373cc318401241d4c30734dbd76d8732e5ad21941

I also had my post questioning him about his "mixing service" that he was utilizing deleted:
Quote from: Quickseller
For the 3rd time there is no name of this service, it's just a private "someone" who offered the service for us earlier on in the program. The only reason we use it is for BTC to USD. IF it is traced to our bitcoin address, there isn't a problem. It's USD that needs to be fogged in case of that circumstance of illegally obtained bitcoins.
You are contradicting yourself. If your bitcoin can be traced to you then when you go to convert it to fiat it can still be traced back to you.

What is the same of this "someone" and why are you trusting them with other people's money? The risk of them running away with their money is not disclosed anywhere. You have also not answered my question as to why you are paying an above market rate for a service that can be done at a fraction of what you are paying for essentially none of the risk.

Also if you are using a "someone" then they will not be able to effectively mix your bitcoin unless they are mixing bitcoin for a large number of other customers as well.

Both Moreia and Michlandar had deleted most of their posts supporting the site, however they forgot to delete the "vouch" that moreia had left:
OP has sent me quite a detailed PM of where the funds go and how the revenue is generated and I must say I am quite impressed. Though his methods weren't revealed which is fair enough, all the info he gave me is enough to explain how the bitcoins are receiving their interest.
I'll be gaining some coin to put into this program and keep you all updated when I put my funds in. I think this one is here to stay, or, he did quite a job convincing me!
michaeladair has supported the site on several occasions.
showing transactions in blockchain dosent mean u are investing anything.
negative feedback till u show solid proofs
He has been paying out so there is no real reason to show his proof. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty so I'd very much like it if you removed that negative trust. You don't have to but I'll have mine on you till you do so.
PROMOTION: Get 10% Profit on your investment in 24 Hours until the next daily payouts!
To celebrate $1,000 USD paid, we are offering 110% (10% profit) in 24 hours on your investment! We have setup a CUSTOM plan page (url below) where you can invest and earn 10% in less than 24 hours!

This offer is only offered for investments over .1BTC though has a maximum of 2.5BTC to be invested and will last until the next set of daily payouts. There is only 22 hours left for this offer at the time of this post!

PROMOTION URL: https://bitcoin-stocks.com/invest/110plan/details.php

You cannot find this offer anywhere else except bitcointalk! Happy investing!!

Holy crap, this is a steal... 110% in only 24 hours? That's more than 12 times the 103%... definitely gonna dig into my wallet for this...
Oh and bitcointalk account hacker Spodermen was active there as well.
Quote
-- Over $1500 Total Invested
-- Over $600 Paid

let me see how good u will perform when no one will invest no more and u have to pay  Wink
Why don't you just look at the blockchain like he has told you like 10 times now lol
I'm interested in investing though im curious, where can we say you have the balance to pay us? The repayment address only has .03BTC in it.
Thanks
It gets transferred over from various sources back into there then it gets sent out to repay people. That's what I believe is happening... because you can see that money keeps going into it at about the same time that payouts are made.
Thats correct.
All of our main activity can be tracked at our central address. All plan funds and transfers to the repayment address occur here: 1Bmain1SWHZtauy94J7dBGKGdLxTeLbzmY.
If you have any other questions feel free to post!
Woah, that's a lot larger balance than your repayment address lol...
I'll be sure to keep an eye on its growth, hope to see more payment proofs and investments soon so I can join in on the fun Wink
Thanks!
I will let the community decide if Moreia, michaeladair, spodermen and TheGambler are actually behind the site, but again, I think they are

EDIT: one more quote from Plutonium about what their investments compromise of
Since it is the weekend, we have no way of transferring the profit we made from our arbitrage trade back to BTC. We have reached our instant buy limits on both circle and coinbase, and will need to wait until monday until our deposit is ready to be put back into the main address. Because of this, payouts will be delayed until MONDAY.
DO NOT FRET. Even though this has occurred, we have EXTENDED the 110% bonus AND if you post your TXID for your investment in this 110% plan anywhere between when that promotion started, and when it ends (monday payouts) you will receive a 5% bonus just for doing so.

As was  mine, hence the scam accusation. They decided they don't even want to try to explain it

That's just scary.  I'd be more confident if they just owned up to it and said yes, we have a really bad ass dice strategy but need funds to gamble.  That would be better than deleting posts.

I wonder how much longer the payouts will last.

Extremely shady

I left michaeladair a negative trust before for openly supporting and endorsing the ponzi multiple times but he pmed me and I removed it because he said he no longer would.

There needs to be forum intervention for shit like this. Theymos refuses to take responsibility for anything. Covering under the guise of free speech when that is obviously NOT this forum goal.

God forbid there be forum moderation and responsibility

It is impossible for the forum to know for sure when something is a scam or not. I agree that anyone who is promoting a ponzi is untrustworthy in my book.

Is this the first ponzi that michaeladair has openly supported?

Not supporting the Ponzi, but I got my money back. Cheesy

What really bothers me is that they're not only running a Ponzi (I don't care), but gambling with our money.

They were claiming to invest customer money in things like altcoin trading and arbitrage while they were really gambling with investor money. Don't you think that is somewhat misleading

How did they reach their buying limit even though only around 2k is invested in this? The instant buy for Coinbase is already 1k but I don't know about circle. Definitely full of bullshit.

Exactly, they don't even need to use Coinbase or Circle as you can use an exchange for arbitrage trading.

I am not involed at all and I haven't used em, but as long as they payback, and with gambling that's a decent possibility, I don't really care. But because the chance of losing isn't low I won't invest

Most HYIP's lie....

"with gambling that's a decent possibility"
How?
They're more likely to put funds on a 98% bet and "accidentally" lose it all.

Over the long run all HYIPs are going to collapse and not payback investor's money. That is a given.

They are misleading investors as to what they are doing with their money. There could be a HYIP that is honest about the fact that they will eventually run away with investor money and people can gamble accordingly

Yeah, I get kicked in the face a lot for trusting humanity. It's one of my flaws.
I just don't see how disbelief to all that has not a lot of proof is a good way to go about life.
