You can get a lot done with templates from the Envato network if you want to work on a budget.

Buy an Infographic pack and with some Illustrator & Photoshop familiarity you can bang out beautiful Infographics on a budget!

Buy an After Effects project and you can easily create a promo video, animated whiteboard explainer video, or style some gorgeous kinetic typography!

You can cut some corners by not trying to reinvent the wheel when it comes to design, but when it comes to original content... You will typically will get what you pay for.

Cheap services like textbroker or even fiverr can result in some mediocre articles that may contain 1 or 2 keywords (that you specify), but will not drive any traffic to your site or keep any visitors there.

I'm not sure why you went with Blogger, but I would move to use your own hosting & deploy WordPress. You can save a lot of time and money by purchasing a WordPress theme from themeforest.net (envato again FTW).

Present your content in a unique way and provide your visitors with a fresh perspective or you will be damned to the depths of the internet abyss.
