The Silk Road trials are set to begin today in US courts. After the platform was brought down by government officials due to relations with drug trafficking and other crimes, the alleged creator Ross Ulbricht faces his biggest challenge to date. The Bitcoin community has been anxiously awaiting this day, as we all hope to put the Silk Road chapter behind us and move on from there.

This case is definitely interesting. Anyone know how he's pleading or whether he's fighting all charges? I'm not sure about how courts work in america but is there anywhere we can watch it or get live updates of this? It would be something I'm interested in following.

Furthermore, prosecutors go as far as calling ROss Ulbricht ‘Dread Pirate Roberts’; a reference to the movie ‘The Princess Bride’;

LOL. These pesky prosecutors…

I think this will be the first of many trials of the kingpins of these sorts of marketplace busts. What's happening with the other DRP2?

Well that is the name he went by after all. Would've been better had he been named something funnier like cumbeast or something silly  Grin.

I didn't, apparently the Reuters author didn't know either. Never used Silk Road, never cared much for the platform Smiley
