[NEED ADVICE]Cross-platform full disk encryption other than Truecrypt?

I lost faith on truecrypt and now I'm looking for a replacement. Is there such a thing?
I researched heavily but still nothing.

What I'm looking for exactly is:

-Must boot up (well yeah.)
-Full disk encryption (yeah again)
-Must be cross platform (For example, I frequently boot to windows. But, in case, I should be able to mount it on linux as well.)
-Must be flexible (keyfiles, contingency options, stuff like that, but not necessary.)

I found Diskcryptor. It's perfect for my needs but I don't think this can be mounted on linux.
Any advice?

Stick to version 7.1a, you should be fine. That's the last known stable and trusted version. I also use DiskCryptor on another Windows machine. But I will probably stick to TrueCrypt for all my external drives.

Disk encryption, is a waste of time.. with the speed the nsa have to decrypt algorhythms, what would you hope to protect? You are aware there are speeds available to hackers, that are as fast, if not faster than nsa terafloppin? Not to mention, as a disgruntled ex nsa emplyee, I know your encryption keys as you typed them?

Tarsnap is all you need for cross platform. Use whatever standard FDE your OS comes with then use tarsnap for important files.  I use tarsnap for work + home so it just tars up my /home directory, encrypts with AES-GCM (this is important because http://sockpuppet.org/blog/2014/04/30/you-dont-want-xts/) and then I copy the key for home use to work on stuff there afterhours. Tarsnap only backs up what's changed, not everything all the time. I paid $10 worth of bitcoins and that was months ago and it still works.

Edit: any reasons you can't run Win w/Diskcryptor (never heard of it, I'd research if I were you) and then run any Linux OS in a VM?
You can still use Tarsnap to backup files too, cgywin works

They got you thinking have'nt they? Has it occured if people DONT talk about WHAT they use, the NSA, then, would'nt have a clue?

I have to laugh when I see people using the most mainstream encryption method's it's like, wow..

I wont go into the backdoor's or universal key's..

Anyways, thanks for the tips! Guess I'll be decrypting my laptop now. An encrypted flash drive on a clean system for storage should suffice for me.
