Meh.  This is me deliberately not adding my wallet number because I'm still new to this forum.  You should only pay it forward if someone is at least a junior member, which is what 100 posts or something?  I can understand new people wanting to get bitcoins but what a cheap way to do it....

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.
