Warning to Newbies Embarrassed

Be careful doing business with Camolist service for VPN & SSH tunneling.  I thought that because Steven of Camolist accepted Bitcoins that he would be an honest Bitcoin service provider.  Unfortunately, that was not the case.  After a few months of VPN service on my WinXP machine and then waiting a month for support to set up VPN on my Win 7 machine, he never responded to my support request.

He was very good in setting up the VPN on trial but once I paid him I didn't hear from him again except to finish my Win XP setup and to email me that I had VPN service for a year.

Camolist promised me a year of service but I only received two months with no support for another two months.  I've asked for reimbursement for the next eight months but his response was to block my IP address from his service without any email explanation.

I recommend Camolist VPN service only for those who need no support and who don't expect any changes with their machine.

Bitcoin users beware.

I wish I had seen this sooner. I signed up yesterday for a month, just to try it out, and still haven't heard a single word from him. Either he's incapacitated or he just ran off with my 0.6 BTC. :/

Oh great.. Another potential scammer...

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. It seems like he's been running the service for a while, so to suddenly bail on the operation wouldn't make much sense.

But if he is AWOL, do you think Mt. Gox would send the payment back? (Assuming he hasn't withdrawn it already...)

Don't worry, the guy is legit. He just doesn't take customer service very seriously. You'll get your VPN eventually (at most a few days), though.
