I've been using various services in the past to mix coins, but they're expensive ( 2% on average ).

Any ideas on a secure and cheap way to achieve the same thing? Thanks!

Silk Road, InstaWallet or any shared online wallet like an exchange should mix coins for free.

whatever you do, be sure to space your txs in and out in both timing and size.

eg mixing 10 btc:

Send 1.5, 2.2, 4.8...etc
W/d: 3.4, 3.6....etc

InstaWallet, like all hosted eWallets use a shared wallet for customer's deposits and withdrawals.  As a result, it is unlikely your withdrawals will be the same coin as your withdrawal.  It might be easy to know the coins went through instawallet, but without records from InstaWallet, it wouldn't be possible to know if the InstaWallet used to withdraw was the same one used for the deposit.

Apparently blockchain.info has added an extensive coin mixing service.
