I'm just curious but what is so bad about people turning off their mining rigs? Less coins being mined would prevent the supply from increasing as quickly, correct? Hence, this would dampen the price drops?

There would still be the same amount of coins being mined, it would just be going to less people. The people that shut off their rigs will come back when difficulty drops or price goes up. |

I don't know if its the best time to buy, but it certainly is a good time to buy. If there isn't big changes to demand, I don't see the price going anywhere but down until the reward halves again. |

Actually touched $216 on Bitstamp just a little while ago. Looks like we are definitely heading for the sub-$200 range.
Oh yeah, sad one the one hand but one helluva learning experience thats for sure.
