Hey everyone! I'm new to Bitcoin and I am very weird, instead of joining Bitcoin when it is 'high', I join Bitcoin when it is 'low'! Smiley
Currently using Blockchain online wallet. I will be buying some Bitcoin soon (the price is low!!). Is there any suggestion for me?

Actually I have Bitstamp in my mind but due to the recent hacking, I think I need to reconsider.

welcome aboard!

if you are in the US you can try bitstamp or coinbase

if you are in the EU you can try kraken (much easier to verify),
or
belgancoin.com (no registrations, only SEPA transfers for buying)

It's safe to buy Bitcoin on Bitstamp,If you're still worried you can buy on Coinbase,Btc-e or LocalBitcoins.

Welcome to the community Smiley
I think you must change your wallet, desktop wallet Wink like electrum if you won't download data, or armory.
Bitstamp now up again I think no problem but still be careful.

Hello and welcome ^^
Coinbase and bitstamp are the best, I get why you would be worried over bitstamp but I don't think they would have more problems in a while.
BitcoinSource is a bit new but it's very promising.
I'm not sure if you can buy btc in Kraken, as far as I knew it was for exchanging. It's pretty good though.
Good luck Smiley

Hello and welcome _Underscore. If you have a Android phone, I would suggest you getting MyCelium wallet. Anyway, I dont trade Bitcoin but I would suggest you do trading at localbitcoin. It is what most 'newb' use.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

Time to be active on the crypto forums again? Proud to be one of the few Legendary members of the Sparkie Red Dot!

Gonna put this on my resume if I ever join a cryptocurrency/blockchain industry!

Either you buy from Bitstamp or Bitfinex, all I would say is whenever you get your coins in the exchange, and if you ain't planning to trade your coins there, then you must definitely get your coins out to either your Desktop wallet (my preference) or Online wallet... Also, you should wait till this week as it seems that something fishy is going on and its smelling exactly the way anyone won't ever think BTC may ever go back in a crash...

I have good experience with Bitstamp but when you want a smaller exchange there is Cryptsy or Kraken
