Hi.

I have some coins stuck due to a series of transactions that are not confirmed because a transaction upstream was sent with 0 fees and has not yet confirmed.

https://blockchain.info/tx/b6ba3d9706bdebdd8f075dcff343f7f56cabaf37aa1df1ccfc120ef26b2ad949

My question is the following. Will a transaction with 0 fees and spent outputs eventually be included in a block?

Thanks.

C.

Possibly, but not necessarily.

There is a possibility that the unconfirmed transaction with 0 fees might get dropped from the memory pool of the peers, and that the person that sent that transaction could re-spend that output elsewhere.  If that happens, and the new transaction gets confirmed, then the entire chain of transactions after the 0 fee transaction will all become invalid and cease to exist.

EDIT:
You should contact the person or business that sent you the transaction and inform them that you are not interested in transacting with them any more until they switch to a wallet that does not spend unconfirmed outputs.

Thanks.

Interestingly the person responsible for this transactions has gone unresponsive.

Is there an automatic way to keep on broadcasting these raw transactions to the network? So far I've been using the sites listed below but this has to be done manually.

It might get included , but would be hard to predict when it will happen . It can also take upto a month to confirm.
But should eventually be picked up.

Problem solved.

I recovered all the raw transactions and start broadcasting them frequently using bitcoind. The 0 fee transaction got confirmed shortly after as well as all downstream transactions.
