the poll results are so unrealistic and honestly it looks so optimistic.
if we are talking about the end of this year I think reaching $1000 is going to impossible unless some huge miracle happens, if it is about to go up it can go up around ~$350-$400 IMO but nowhere near $1000

reaching 1k again should be fairly easy, everything that was already achieved should not be a problem to be touched again, the problem is sustaining it or sustaining a higher price,

so in the end the issue is not in the reaching or not a higher price, but don't falling after you got there

I totally agree but I don't think that $1000 can be reached by the end of 2015. I think if it is about to go that high again, it needs to happen after the 2016 block reward halving. and not exactly after the halving either, it might take a couple of months to get there.

So many people who are dreaming of riches  We are not going to $1000 in 2015 we will be very lucky to get away from $200-$300 this year I personally don't think we will. We have had a lot of good news and major investments this year but the price has done nothing except take a small drop.

most people are looking for quick and large gains. the only way they can make themself firmly hold their coins is to fantasize about bitcoin being $1000 plus.

does someone of you saw the gold on the last 30 years ? with the bitcoin im sure it will be the same ,the diference is that is technology vs material ,as gold bitcoins is getting mature and on the next years will be knowed for new people,the new interest on them as with the current interest will make it go high,we cant say never that wont reach an ammount... remember bitcoin project mined coins is getting closer to a end ... when the mineable coins end we will how market will act as react will be the same thing as gold.... is getting harder to find new gold and precious...the less gold on the market the bigger the cost.... on btc we will have the same way... i believe btc on the next years can break the 2000 dollars or more just give some time it will happen

Well said. People dont want to wait its in our nature go get rich in fast time. I agree that in time btc will pass not just 2k but 5k. Also there are more people that want huge income in short time that is not possible right now.

most of them are high hopers and trolls and maybe some of them got the time frame wrong.
there is no way we can achieve $1000 by the end of this year. unless there is by some miracle a great news and as a result a great number of people invest in bitcoin and then price might go up which is not possible.
but in 2016 and specially after block halving there is for sure another increase in price and it might even go as high as $1000 again,

the time of new buy wall will happen on the next years ,there will be more shops online accepting bitcoins,buying a house with them a car that will keep growing as people must see the potencial of bitcoin it happening already at 3 years if not wrong

probably another big rally to get us back over it followed by another bear and so on until we reach peak $1000 or more

It is a give that any market prediction ignores unpredictable events, but ironically the unpredictable events are all that matters... everyone knows holding BTC is a pretty much safe way to retire in 20 years, the real issue here is detecting bubbles and benefiting from them each time, instead of simply holding through them.

Silver is headed below $12 and gold below $1050.

Most likely bottoming below $9 and $850. The lowest possible for gold in the $600s.

We have a bounce here in BTC and PMs, then headed for lower lows, which means < $150 for BTC and probably double-digits

price chart isn't terrible. what makes you think it is terrible? current situation is completely normal. $400 prediction isn't that unreasonable, but i think we must be happy to be over $300 this year.

If there's another sharp bull run then the price could be quite a bit higher. It's interesting though that typically bear markets run for shorter periods than bull markets. I wonder if bitcoins price dynamics might change with more people involved and bull markets will stretch for longer periods and be more gradual, and bear markets will reverse and be shorter but sharper?
