Yes price will continue to swing.But please only on the way up. A hundred dollars up and thirty down.Then again hundred up and so on.That kind of volatility I would totally fine with and I guess everybody else here as well.
However my personal prediction for a price at the end of the year is around 400 and something.I stay conservative here.

The auction was on the 5th of November. It doesn't make sense for the FBI to sell coins below market value. Especially if you consider that buying up huge loads of coins is not possible without giving the price a significant price boost if you do it via exchanges. I think the coins are sold as 1:1 to match the rates at that day and time.

There was also mentioned that there were less bidders than usual, which might be due to the higher price that went up way too high in such a short period of time. The people who are buying up these auctioned coins know what they do, and don't want to get burned after a few days.

Interesting points.  Also, it seems to me that there may be less participants because the first auction basically only had one guy who got all the coins, and the 2nd auction ended with one organization getting most of the coins.  Perhaps it is assumed that the coins will always be won by super high bids and since it's a blind auction you can't know for sure just how high these super bids will be.  He who has the least amount of money has the most amount of time to waste by participating in these auctions.

$500 is still a good end of year price. It is higher than that in the beginning of 2015. The price growth in 2015 is positive. In 2016, the price will rise further due to the halving or further adoption of bitcoin.

$500 is still a good end of year price. It is higher than that in the beginning of 2015. The price growth in 2015 is positive. In 2016, the price will rise further due to the halving or further adoption of bitcoin.

Yeah if you'll look at it, the price is almost in the same range last year ($380-$430) just a little bit lower now. Those were the days before the price began to spiral downward from December to as low as $177 last Jan 14 this year. Hopefully history does not repeat itself this time.

It is very difficult to predict price as we are not whales. The price could be between $600-$3000 next year.

price will always go up but when big up is coming so the big down must follow so for me reasonable price is around 450$
