Rather than saying Bitcoin is dead, you should pray that Bitcoin doesn't die otherwise Bitcoin sinking ship will take down every altcoin with itself.

there is one thing, or better said one major flaw in what you said, and that is Altcoins are dead already. i can't find any that is not a pump and dump or losing price over time.
if you know any i would be more than happy to look into it

how about sdc,vior,uro,mon,nxt,counter
i've known a little about NXT, but not others. i will look into them. thanks for introducing

It looks like that is what is happening. We were all brought here on a dream and an ideal. BTC has rested on the laurels for too long and only the truly innovative will rise. Big money could come into this crypto space if btc gets knocked out and make a coin that would be a wet dream to all of us. There is so much bs and rigging going on in this space right now. We would all embrace a truly innovative crypto that the mainstream would support. Some of you big holders maybe saddened by what is going on but I am excited. Crypto isn't going anywhere. Its just changing and evolving. I am excited to see what the future holds.

I think the Nectar guys have a decent shot, among others like Ethereum:

I think the threat is actually that bitcoin, with all of its accumulated baggage over the past year (deserved - lack of innovation) and undeserved (third-party hacks and security failures, failed exchanges, etc.), risks taking down altcoins if it continues to painfully limp as it has. Better for alts if it either thrives or just dies.

and counterparty, and ethereum and who knows what else in 2015.

In the meantime, little or no implemented innovation in bitcoin over the past year. Arguably, its bitcoin that's holding back the progress of crypto, at least as much as alt scammers have.

Well no alt coin is near 100 dollars yet? so how come you claim bitcoin has died even though its worth god knows how much if you combined most alt coins together?

In a nutshell, this picture does say it all.

bitcoin is the same

i vote for quark-pump too.

Bitcoin is too fat to get out of the bed. Old stuff. An altcoin with 10 minutes transactions-confirms and without fast difficulty retarget would be laughed at around here but strangely bitcoin is that laughable alt.

Bitcoin as it is today, relaunched on the forum wouldn't find a buyer. People wouldn't even mine it, it could not attract a community and it would not be listed on exchange. Bitcoin is pretty much done after this selloff.

Look at it! It can't even hold its value despite all the efforts that went into it! It has bad breath and spittle at the chin. Bitcoin is rusty. Better get rid of it while you can still find fools to sell to.

We are greatful for the infrastructure pioneerwork bitcoin did. Thanks to that better altcoins will be much faster integrated.

Forget "2.0" - that's just a marketing-pitch.

We just wait for new basecurrency ... so you will know later what we will trade the coins against. It will not be Bitcoin.

I don't think BTC is dead.

bitcoin isnt dead... dont listen to people who say that it is, they just need it to drop lower to make coin of there shorts.
look at bitfinex price is above all the other exchanges atm.

either way though im using viorcoin, its backed by phone minutes similar to the early mpesa, but i still need bitcoins to buy them.

If your not actively using the technology behind your crypto investment,

IT IS A SCAM!!!!
