I changed ISP yesterday - new router etc as well. Had to change the IP on my miner to 192.168.0.99 to get to the interface. All looks good - Red LED is on, green one is blinking - but it's not actually mining. When I look at the Miner Status in the GUI it just says "This section contains no values yet" for all measurements. A different thread suggested changing the settings for the pool, but don't see how I could do this. I'm mining with Slush's pool. Any ideas or advice gratefully received. Thanks

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Wrong setting on network area. Gateway, broadcats, dns If the miner ip is 192.168.0.99 then Gateway should be 192.168.0.1 Broadcasts should be 192.168.0.255 DNS should be 192.168.0.1 Then add second DNS 8.8.8.8

Thanks, When I tried that it came up as a conflict and my internet went down, not quite sure why. Also, wasn't sure how to change "broadcasts" Here are the settings as they stand: https://i.imgur.com/WkSMyQ6.png?1Sorry to be such a moron. Thanks

Thanks for clarifying that. As far as I can tell, these settings should be fine, but miner still not mining. Only silver lining is Slush's pol has had a dry and a half, so haven't missed out! Any other suggestions? Thanks

Dude, the screen shot is your pc setting. Did you already set your S1? Please post your network setting page(on S1, not your pc).

Cool, I finally understood what you were talking about and worked out how to change these settings on the S1. All working perfectly now. Thanks again, you are a star, and well done for not taking the piss out of me for being so inept - my 11 year old son would not have been as forgiving. Thanks again

I just had the identical problem and yours was the perfect fix. Thanks also to OP for asking the question. The advice would hold for S3s also, so perhaps it is not too out of date after all. Oh, I didn't use the second (Google) DNS suggestion - scared of the controversy, I guess, but to each his own.
