and it looks like a promising coin to me.

Did you meet them in Miami? I'm wishing I would have bought more after the reviews I'm hearing. Cheesy

Let's make a change. Change makes you better. Change makes you smarter. Change makes you healthier.

Looks like the contest ends today.

I wonder if we'll see anything really interesting, not some obvious stuff.

Here's an update on the contest.

Looks like ZiftrCOINs presale fetched them some decent money - anyone else following the news?

Sounds like they're still accepting articles - I went for one of the smaller prizes and hope to win.

Smaller prizes are easier to win, problem is, they're smaller Wink

Now this made me go and find out what the heck ZiftrCOINs are and what they're worth.

What I found out made me think the  grand prize is grand, I'm entering.

What? A ZiftrCOIN costing as much as bitcoin?

It's not in circulation yet and they've sold close to 4 million already.

Wow, I might be slow but I just found out the presale ended and they managed to sell over 4 million coins.

Cointelegraph, Ziftr, and ZiftrCOIN, are excited to launch a special contest with a grand prize of 0.5 BTC plus 500 ZiftrCOINs,
and five additional prizes of 0.2 BTC plus 100 ZiftrCOINs.

To enter, just write an answer to the following question: “What will it take for Bitcoin to gain mass acceptance?”

To enter for the grand prize, email entries to drop@cointelegraph.com with the subject: “CT Article Contest” plus a link to your social media profile.
Or share this post on Facebook and post your answer as a comment on the link for a chance to win one of the five smaller prizes.

The competition closes on 21st of January and we'll announce the winner on the 23rd.

The winner of the grand prize will be decided by a public vote on shortlisted entries posted to the CoinTelegraph website.
The Facebook prizes will be awarded to the posts who gather the most likes combined between their comment and on the link itself.
Entries must be a minimum of five paragraphs in length.

When the results are due? Let's hear something about the winners!

Despite of the weird name they've managed to sell close to $1 million worth of coins, oh my.

The coin itself sounds ok, the name is kinda hard to pronounce.

I don't get it - first people BOUGHT the coins and THEN they'll give them away for free? Am I missing something here?

This is what they say:
We are pre-mining 4.5% of the total ziftrCOINs, 66.7% of which we will give away to consumers. In doing this, we hope that more consumers start to become familiar with cryptocurrency. To further achieve this goal, we are developing a mobile wallet that will hold all major types of cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin, Litecoin and ziftrCOIN.
