Why the F*CK would people keep mining, if at current price levels (let alone the price dropping) even the power consumption costs way more than the bitcoins it yields? Mining for profit was always a bad idea, especially now. |

bitcoin can reach even $10,000 folks. it seems impossible now but it is not. its more probable to reach 1 dollar than 10k i would more think about reaching 2000 max that would be decent |

I dont get this. If a lot of miners leave, wouldn't it be easier to get rewards for the remaining mines? less cake to slice. |

I dont get this. If a lot of miners leave, wouldn't it be easier to get rewards for the remaining mines? less cake to slice. Maybe I'm just a dummy, but miners secure the network. Isn't that one of the selling points of BTC? Offering a confirmation consensus to prevent fraud and authenticate transactions? Without mining I'm pretty sure PoW coin values are highly diminished. |
