I think its reasonable offer. I pay 0,45BTC for S3+ in october '13, when BTC was at 366$ (70% higher then now) nad diff was 20% lower then now. You must be living in different world if you think that someone pay you 0.65BTC/pcs.

Maybe he calculates wrong a decrease in btc value results in a higher btc price.

This looks to me like:

btc is 70% less value - so I will pay 70% less btc for the S3 ...

4,5btc - 70% = 1.35

+ 20 % diff increase = 1.6 :-)

Well don't know.

At 366$/BTC electricity eat 40% of what S3 will mine.
At 220$/BTC electricity eat 80+% of what S3 will mine.

Whay Bitamine turnoff their S3 at Hashnest ?

Jan 14th, 2014 - Umisoo, ANTS2, ANTS3 Hardware Powered Off

Today, at 08:05 Jan 14th GMT, all Hashnest Umisoo, ANTS2, & ANTS3 units were powered off, as their maintenance fee became higher than their payout. This procedure was previously outlined in this post https://forum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/969.
At the moment, we are examining the situation to determine what further action will be taken. We will be doing our best to keep you updated with the latest information. As long as the machines are switched off, there will be no new revenue payments from these machines. Further, we will collect no maintenance fee on the Umisoo, ANTS2, and ANTS3 during this time.

Note: GH/s trading for these units will continue as normal. Users may still buy or sell mining contracts for the Umisoo, ANTS2,
and ANTS3 during this time.

Hashnest.com
Because maintenance  was higher then payout.

Why S1 are selling at a price of garbage ? Because maintenance  was much higher then payout.
And within 1-2 month S3 waiting for the same thing.

Even with free electricity there is no way to ROI at 0.65BTC.
If BTC prize will rise then diff will rise too and maintenance will cross 100%.
If BTC prize will go down maintenance will go up and cross 100%.

Things are worth as much as someone wants to pay for it.  Wink
