BS&T?

Bitcoin Savings and Trust, Pirate40 is running it.
earn upto 7% per week.

others are speculating its a ponzi.

it can't be kept up for ever but its good while it lasts.

from what pirate has said, he's doing off the books exchanges with large cash investors.

But, AFAIK, Silk Road only holds BTC... Where does the cash fits on Silk Road mixing system?

It is probably just standard bitcoind daemon, I see no reason for any special mixing algorithm. The standard bitcoind selects output addresses pretty randomly (however it optimizes for the transaction size, I think).

Interesting. That's exactly what Ginko Bank in SecondLife said they did to explain paying their high interest rate.

SR has some hedge system to deal with the bitcoin fluctuations.  would be nice if this feature was open sourced and brought to the surface web, I haven't seen it on any of the btc auction sites.
