Hello, and thanks for checking out my listing. I want to start a Bitcoin wallet, and my wife says that I can’t buy Bitcoin without selling stuff first, so I thought, why not sell something directly for BTCGrin

I purchased this awesome piece directly from PB Torcher back in August of 2014. Named the “Night & Day Hammerlock” by the artist, this pipe measures 7.25in, and is constructed in multiple segments using high-quality borosilicate glass. The piece features multilayered switchbacks and linework in “night” and “day” color palettes on top of a multi-toned sparkle gray backdrop. My crappy phone picture really doesn't do the depth and complexity of the design justice - it really needs to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. I purchased the pipe as a display piece, but it is fully functional with a deep bowl and finger-carb. It has never been used.

PB Torcher works with a community of glassblowers in Eugene, Oregon, which is arguably the birthplace of the modern functional glass art movement. If you Google image search for “PB Torcher” you can see some good examples of his production and custom work. Here’s a description of the piece from the artist himself:

“I'll point out that the hammer-lock is a special shape I came up with. It's a hybrid of a classic hammer because of the straight stem – all sherlocks bend by the mouth piece and near the weld, kinda S shaped. The two main parts are then welded together at a 90 degree angle. Finally the head is bent way back to give it more of a sherlock feel. I've always been a huge fan of the classics like sidecars, sherlocks, and hammers. When I first started it was easier to make a crazy shaped piece that I'd wing it and let the glass do whatever, compared to a design that is very specific in assembly and shape.”

I paid $450 + shipping for the piece, and another $20 for the display case, but I’d be willing to securely ship both to anywhere in the continental US for only $350 (obo). It looks like the Bitcoin price is currently back up around $200-220, which would be about 1.6-1.75BTC. I also don’t mind covering the escrow costs with a trusted 3rd party, if desired.

Just PM me or post below if you’re interested.

Thanks!  Grin

P.S. If you’re interested in this type of glassworking, I recommend checking out the “Degenerate Art” documentary (available through Netflix streaming) http://www.degenerateartfilm.com/trailer.html

Take advantage of the recent uptick in exchange rates! Even if the price drops back down from $220, I'll still sell the item at 1.6BTC, just lemme know.

thanks!
