Thought it was something big but at least this is better than nothing. Even if it is not a direct purchase of items at ebay but at least it does create some opportunity for more coins adoption.

News of vendors now accepting Bitcoin as payment is no longer big news.  If two years ago Microsoft had said they were accepting Bitcoin, that would have been very big news indeed.  Today that is hardly the case.

On the other hand, if a major bank or company such as Paypal allowed you to convert your fiat to Bitcoin using their platform, that would be much larger news.

The barrier to entry for people at the moment is not the question of whether they'll be able to spend Bitcoin, but rather the difficulty in initially obtaining Bitcoin.

And no, this is not "the big news".

Pretty cool. Looking forward to the day we can just buy stuff directly on Fleabay with btc, failing that I'll just wait for Open Bazaar to get more user friendly.

Ya, I guess it's not the big news.

Big news for me though. I have more shopping options. For me, that's all that matters with Bitcoin.

Sadly I agree, though I suppose it as at least good news but not what I was expecting. Has this been confirmed as the good news people were talking about, though? Something else could still be coming?
