Whether you include SLL in your list is a judgment call. On the pro-include side, it has huge volume, it's had high volume for a long time, and it's been traded as long as the "old ones" -- LTC and NMC.

On the pro-exclude side, SLL is not a decentralized crypto currency. It's a digital currency controlled by a corporation.

Back to the pro-include side, the fact that there is real use demand for SLL, for playing Second Life, is unusual. There is typically no real life demand for shit coins, other than speculative. SLL price has been rising steadily recently. It went from 760 sats a year ago to 1580 today. You could have doubled your BTC by holding SLL for a year.

I was really surprised by SLL too. Also surprised that they are not discussed more here, given how they've performed.

Hundreds of coins out there. Which ones should be on your radar?

I would probably pick the one with the best name, most resilient community, and most creative developer! Cheesy

None of these altcoins are used for anything...... nobody uses them for transactions.

Did you research BTCD, and if so, why did that not get included?

SLL?
came to say the same ... what is it?
where is this $10k everyday market?

---
"Trading coins with volume below $10k is a waste of time"
Disagree but will compromise that the term "Trading coins" can mean at least $10k any given day.

"ETH just came out. I wouldn't touch it"
agree but if you like risk you could still trade it cuz vol.

Trading Coins : BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE, XMR, DASH, PPC, CLAM, MAID, BLK, BTS

sorry BTCD/NXT your numbers lack open markets and consistent vol.

another term would be instant liquid or "Quids"
Quids: BTC, LTC, ETH

and ETH will drop off, then return in vol on a crash down

and Nubits or something like it will likely join the "Quids"
