IBM Reveals Proof of Concept for Blockchain-Powered Internet of Things

IBM has unveiled its proof of concept for ADEPT, a system developed in partnership with Samsung that uses elements of bitcoin’s underlying design to build a distributed network of devices – a decentralized Internet of Things.

IBM has always been ahead of the curve.. in the 80's they came up with mainframes that were self diagnosing... if diagnostics identified a potential problem (not a failure) it would contact a technician to perform preventive maintenance.
They recognized the flood of new hardware manufacturers and made a corporate decision to become more focused on software solutions.
It hasn't always led to profits but they hire top minds for researching growth trends.

The underlying question is... will their proprietary systems help improve bitcoin awareness.

Unless IBM wants to get into the finance industry they will be using bitcoins for their ethereum smart contracts.

Any significantly advanced cryptocurrency is indistinguishable from Ponzi Tulips.
