My guess is that it belongs to Genjix: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webpayments/2011Sep/0006.html

It's no dark secret as to who Genjix is.  Lips sealed

I was wondering because it is the UNIQUE Bitcoin address ever mentioned in the "BitCoin v0.01 ALPHA" original BTC Source code by Satoshi himself back in 01/07/2009

uibase.cpp, line 495:
m_staticText14 = new wxStaticText(this, wxID_ANY, wxT("Enter the recipient's IP address (e.g. 123.45.6.7) for online transfer with comments and confirmation, \nor bitcoin address (e.g. 1NS17iag9jJgTHD1VXjvLCEnZuQ3rJED9L) if recipient is not online."), wxDefaultPosition, wxDefaultSize, 0);

Just because Amir used satoshis example(1NS17iag9jJgTHD1VXjvLCEnZuQ3rJED9L ) as one of his examples doesn't mean that he is satoshi or collaborated directly with satoshi.

It does indicate that Amir at least payed attention to and studied Satoshi's work, which is of no surprise.

Interesting, but not like his character to troll the forums. His posts mainly consist of political/philosophical topics that he believes in or technical updates.

Probably some newbie early adopters just send their bitcoins to this example address for try.

And I think no one knows this address's private key. (And this is a good thing, total coins are less now!).

You can't know who is the owner, but you can know that he has many coins.

Actually he only has 900 bitcoins which is not much compared to other addresses.

I don't think it would be very easy to figure this out considering that it has not ever spent any of it's inputs. This is now exaggerated by the fact that it is receiving a bunch of blockchain spam that would complicate any analysis of the receiving addresses. Although it is possible (but unlikely) that the very small amounts of mining revenue from a very old and inefficient miner

werd last transactions ... but not a problem : http://btc.blockr.io/address/info/1NS17iag9jJgTHD1VXjvLCEnZuQ3rJED9L

Call me nuts, but if this BWA belongs to Satoshi, then it shouldn't be too much of a effort to track a myriad other BWA's that fed it, looking into those addresses to see where else transactions went to. I would start with the 777 BTC one: https://blockchain.info/tx/f71d7502a32d4ea303ce998c5899379359b11f8de79afaa9176c92fddd7f6401 But, there's plenty more clues within.

Note the amounts and the 1NS...

Read https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/36e6bb/still_dont_believe_nick_szabo_is_satoshi_read_this/ if you're not up to speed.

EDIT: Interesting! I think I can trace both transactions to Gavin.

Taxing my memory, I think that I linked it to one of Gavin's early address by only a couple hops. Others should have no prob doing the same if so inclined.
