I with paper money never go away. Electronic currency is far more susceptible if the only way of making payments were with virtual currency then governments and big institution would own everything. I do not want this to happen.

As long as people spend it, paper money will not be so dead.  Besides, who could resist the appeal of the Benjamin?  Not this guy.

As long as people hold it, in speculation that they can get something for it in the future, near or far.

Hahaha, really? I used paper money to buy goods for a fair price yesterday? I'll do so today and I'll do so tomorrow. It's perhaps a bit premature to speak of paper money as "dead". You likely get paid with it so try to show it some due respect.

I don't know about the respect part, but the government does not like paper money.
They would prefer electronic money so they could monitor everyone's income and take your taxes.

They already have electronic money. Most money out there is only inside computers as credit debt.

This, most people dont care, it is only percieved after decades, probably takes an entire generation to notice somewhat of a change in purchasing power, you only see it in graphs.
