When i try to spend from a freshly created wallet I get  error message ive checked the confimations via blockchain.info and it has over 30 to I know I can spend these Bitcoin. I get the error message "(U'message':u'TX rejected, U'code':-22)" which pops up in a window.

im using windows 7 using the latest electrum wallet.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

You mean you did this and checked for 30 confirmations 5 hours later?

If it has confirmations it means it went through.
