Is there any special format that multibit uses for private key? I'm trying to import a private key which I had from blockchain.info a while back and it looks like I can import it. I know its correct so thats not the issue.

rattling my brain over this one.

You can do it, try a new wallet

you mean by deleting the existing one and just launching multibit back up?
