I've tested this and this crashes with this error:

I think that a needed file is missing.Maybe the missing file can be embedded and the reference should point to the same directory as the GUI miner app.

I hope this helps.
Also thanks for releasing this.Smiley

Yeah.I'm really happy someone is working on this. What error do you get? Or is it same as mine? Do you run Snow Leopard or Lion? It seems to me that certain apps are developed with libraries that are only found in Lion and that snow leopard users need to either update these libraries manually or upgrade to Lion?

Working on Lion Smiley

Hmm just as I thought,it seems that Lion has the necessary files for running the miner, largely trouble free.Looks like Snow Leopard users will have more difficulties than people who've moved onto Lion or those who have older macs.

Oops Sorry.Misunderstood you.Anyway Good luck for getting it to work on Lion.In the meantime I got the LTC CPU miner on my PC earlier today (in other location) giving me 18kh/s (full speed is 40khash/s).I had to throttle by around 50% as CPU (core i7 920) reached 94oC with aftermarket cooler (stock cooler gave me 103oC and crashed completely every single time) OCd to 3GHZ.Temps are now ~60oC with 50% throttle (applied manually by forcing it in speedstep mode). This PC also mines BTC as well on GPU.Vorksholk, any luck with the redownloaded miner for Lion?

You probably need to copy Qt libraries (QtCore, QtGui and QtNetwork) to the same folder as the actual application itself.

Then again, I have absolutely zero knowledge about OS X, so I could be wrong. Smiley

94C? Isn't 60 even high for a CPU? My CPU is running at 55C and I'm using 75% (3 of 4 threads) for mining. I also have my cpu overclocked to 3.93GHz from 3.2.

That was simply the reading I got from Asus probe app (monitors my system temps). Most CPUs top out at around 70oC as the upper safe limit, after that, you'll run into problems. On mine,CPU used to run at 3ghz and have all 8 threads (and 4 cores) pushed to 100%.Maybe it's time to move to water cooling if an aftermarket air cooler can't keep up with that heat.Question is does anyone know of any decent CPU coolers (air/water)?What CPU do you have Tittiez?Mines is Core i7 920

Update on developments.I've finally found a satisfactory solution to my issue of LTC mining on my mac.I've managed to run the scrypt miner inside my VM using VMware Fusion 4.1 (I think) and it performs really well, much better than running on my mac natively.Funny that.I can get anywhere from 16kh/s to 27kh/s in scrypt (running in VMware) while being booted into SL (Snow Leopard) so I can do other stuff on my mac like film editing (though not at the same time).

Scrypt miner runs happily and trouble free on my 2 computers and each give me around 20+Kh/s from their CPUs. Smiley
Good luck for those of you who need an OSX LTC miner and don't have access to VMware Fusion (for mac).
