UPDATE Currently the most powerful hero picks are: Lifestealer, Tree-ent, Huskar, nyx and warlock.
(bare in mind every one of these heros can be countered, but some might not be counterable from just good team play, like nyx)

most of the supports are harder to play than the carries, try out ursa or juggernaught, they are easy heroes to play with and its somewhat hard to die.

The main thing is, counter pick the enemy team, if they have no stuns get a nuker, if they do get a silence, etc.

go for it man, I play just about every day with some buddies and can always like to play with other players, I played hon for a while with some of my british buddies (was never good at it for some reason), but when dota 2 came out I jumped on it, and they slowly transitioned over

Would be neat to have a bitcoin dota 2 guild (since gabe newell came out with the "guild" system), I wonder how many of us play?
