Hey guys,

I have a 2500kh/s RIG with four 280x cards in it, sitting in the closet collecting dust. I have not been on this forum for almost a year so my information is outdated. I was wondering if anyone knows what coins can I mine with this RIG right now that pays for electricity and maybe more?

Here is a list of all the coin types I can mine:

  • SHA-256
    Scrypt
    Scrypt-N
    X11
    X13
    Keccak
    Quark
    Groestl
    JHA
    Blake-256
    NeoScrypt
    Lyra2RE

Any help is appreciated.

Mine Spreadcoin. It is the most profitable coin right now. It is solo mineable only so you may go without blocks for a while but it will be worth it! Smiley

Plus, the dev is adding masternodes soon so the price should skyrocket.

It uses a different algo called SpreadX11. You can read the whitepaper here.

Check out the NXT monetary system.  There are several different currencies that have just been release and imo, most new altcoins would be better off using NXT's MS to protect themselves from attack.

You can use the NXTMinter to mine with your GPUs.

I don't know your electricity rates but at the current BTC/Alt prices maybe removing some of the GPUs and playing Minecraft on your rig is the most economic mining related option Smiley.

try mining newly launched altcoins, with established coins you won't get much ROI but if you mine a new coin and hold them then you can get some good return

Go with a pool that mines the most profitable alt yet pays out the one with the best chance of changing things around here:
