Who gives a damn about them. The funds were probably 'stolen' before this 'hack' occured anyway.

Personally, I'm a fan of the theory that the coins were already "stolen" by poor trading on Mt. Gox itself.

I like this theory as it means that there will be zero impact on the market.

Lots of old coins moved recently.  Possible large withdrawals required coins fro Mt. Gox cold storage, which were a year or more old?

If those eventually make it to other exchanges for sale, or back to Mt. Gox after a little washing, that could be some selling pressure.

great part of our community here doesn't see anything wrong with piracy, they accept it as some sort of Robin Hood action against evil, greedy corporations. Kimdotcom is their idol and hero who became a victim in their cause.

2012 is turning out to be the reverse of 2011.  Bitcoins get stolen.  Price goes up.

It makes perfect sense, if you are scamming somebody it is always wise to act like being incompetent.

2012 is turning out to be the reverse of 2011.  Bitcoins get stolen.  Price goes up.

I wonder how long... my guess it it depends on the outcome of the latest incursion.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they keep laughing, then they start choking on their laughter, and then they go and catch their breath. Then they start laughing even more.
