Hi guys,

I wrote http://bitcoinsinireland.com/like-buses-two-irish-bitcoin-stories-come-at-once/ but I'll give the jist here.

January has been a good time for bitcoin in Dublin. Busyfeet and Coco cafe in Dublin now how's the second bitcoin atm in the city, giving us access on both sides of the city now. But more importantly, for people coming to Ireland with bitcoin, there's a place you can have food and drinks, as well as a friendly atmosphere.

Secondly, Bitcoin Dublin are doing a meetup on the 28th January in the aforementioned venue from 6.30

And GSM Solutions, who were the first to bring bitcoin atm's to Ireland are running a promotion to give a free 0.0005 bitcoin to people in Ireland, either walking in, or paying a penny to get it posted out. Info is at http://www.gsmsolutions.ie/bitcoin/

So good to see that there's more progress here!

Cheers

Jamie

That's seriously great... You guys are doing great... I hope Bitcoins may get allowed to trade here in my country India freely, as our Governor is also showing interest in allowing BTC at places to be traded or to be paid for tangible/intangible things as a few exchanges were closed down last year...

Even though the Governor is showing interest..!! It would take probably a year or two in India.!! I know for a fact that everything happens at tortoise pace until they have some personal benefits from it.!

It's great! From where I came from, there is only 1 atm machine to serve approx 1 million people in a mid size city. So you can imagine how low that ratio is. Plus there are not many shops and eateries as well. But looking at it I'm sure we are making progress comparing what the situation was like 2 to 3 years ago.

Damn, seems like i (and two of my btc friends) left Ireland too soon!

Good to hear Dublin is doing well on the adoption front, its a gadget - tech friendly city so I wouldn't be surprised if Bewleys or something started accepting it lol

just back from my holidays, so i'm going to go into the southside atm this week to buy some bitcoin, and then buy a coffee in the cafe for a review. there's also a series of events scheduled there over the next few weeks via meetup.com/bitcoin-dublin

i'm going to try and make it to a few of them this month

As India has terrorist activities, I think the government can't accept BTC in near future.
